Consumer health data privacy policy
Last updated 31 October 2026. Some US states, including Washington under its My Health My Data Act, treat information that can suggest a health condition as consumer health data. This page explains how we handle it.
This policy sits alongside our main privacy policy, which covers everything else we collect. It applies to The Pathway to Progress, whose registered address is:
66 Artillery Regiment, Volta BarracksHo, Volta Region
Ghana
The consumer health data we collect, and why
- The free course you choose (for example acne, dark spots, or dry and sensitive skin), linked to your email address. We use it only to send you the lessons for that course and then the weekly tips.
- Which of our condition pages you visit, measured by Google Analytics with a browser cookie or, where cookies are off, without one. We use it only in aggregate, to see which guides help people and which of our ads bring readers to them.
We do not ask for diagnoses, symptoms, photos, medical history, medicines or any other health information, and we never infer more than the course you picked.
Where it comes from
Directly from you, when you submit a sign-up form or read pages on this website; and from Google Analytics, which reports how visitors use the site.
What we share, and with whom
We never sell consumer health data. We share only the course you chose and your email address, only with the service providers that run the course for us, and only so they can do that:
- our email service (MailerLite), which stores the list and sends the emails;
- our website host (Netlify), which receives the sign-up form;
- an automation service (such as Zapier or Make), if we use one to pass sign-ups to the email service.
Google receives page visits on this website through Google Analytics and Google Ads measurement, as described in our privacy policy. It does not receive your email address, your name or the course you chose. We have no affiliates that receive this data.
Your consent
We collect the course you choose only with your consent, which you give by submitting the sign-up form under the statement that we will keep a note of the course you chose, and then confirming your email. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing from any email or by emailing us.
Your rights and how to use them
You can ask us to:
- confirm whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, and give you a copy of it and a list of everyone we have shared it with;
- delete it, including from our service providers' systems;
- stop collecting it, by withdrawing your consent.
Email admin@thepathwaytoprogress.com with the subject "Consumer health data request". We may need to confirm your request comes from the owner of the email address. If we decline your request, we will explain why, and you can appeal by replying to our answer with the word "Appeal". We will respond to an appeal within 45 days and tell you the outcome in writing. If you are not satisfied, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General at atg.wa.gov or the consumer protection office in your own state.
