Help more people find honest skin care guidance

We are a small nonprofit with a big reading list. Here is how you can help.

Volunteer

Clinical reviewers
Dermatologists, dermatology nurses, pharmacists and family doctors who can review guides for accuracy and safety. Reviewers are named on the pages they check. Typical commitment: one guide every month or two.
Writers and editors
People who can turn research into plain English. You do not need a medical background, but you do need to be comfortable reading studies and following our editorial policy.
Translators
We would like our guides to reach communities in their own languages. Translators would work from the English text, with support from one of our volunteers.
Community ambassadors
People in faith groups, schools, salons, barbershops, youth groups and community centres who can share our materials and tell us what their community needs.

Email admin@thepathwaytoprogress.com with Volunteer in the subject line, a sentence about yourself and the role that interests you.

Share the guides

Every guide is free to link to and share. You can print a guide for a noticeboard, forward it to a family member who is about to try lemon juice on their face, or send the weekly tips link to someone who would use it. Please share links rather than copying the text, so people always see the latest, corrected version.

Partner with us

We would like to work with community organisations, schools, clinics and public health teams that want plain-language skin care materials for the people they serve. We can provide printable versions of our guides and write new material for specific needs, and we hope to offer short education sessions as volunteers join us.

Suggest a topic

We want our guides to answer the questions people actually ask. If there is a skin problem, ingredient or myth you wish someone would explain honestly, tell us at admin@thepathwaytoprogress.com.

Support our work

The Pathway to Progress is run by a small group of volunteers in Ghana. We are not currently taking online donations; if you would like to support the organisation financially, please email us and we will explain the options and how your gift would be used.
